THE GOOD READS OF 2020.
Updated: Aug 30
I am ending the second quarter of good reads for 2020.
So, every quarter I pick three books that I MUST read and if I get to anything else, it's a winner for the journey. This quarter, I am reading: Washington Black by Esi Edugyan. Of Mice And Men by John Steinbeck. Home by Toni Morrison.
Something Old. Something New. Something for the Culture.
I decided to make my quarterly selections deliberate. Now that I am a little older, I find myself wanting to re-read some of the classics that I did not take so seriously as a youngster. It also allows me to challenge myself, as I have always been afraid of the classics and shied away bashfully.
Living in a new world, time as we know it has taken on a new meaning, and I am grateful for every minute. Being in quarantine for the last couple of months has peeled back the onion in all of our lives. Sometimes a good read is just the ticket to a great destination.
