Updated: Jul 29, 2021

The Home Office has become the most talked about room in business. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, every business owner has had to make unprecedented changes to their mission and be able to execute under ravaging circumstances; that is if they were going to salvage any parts of their businesses.

The home office is often the terrain of the solo entrepreneur, so when the pandemic hit, I for one, was accustomed to doing what the restrictions were now requiring for the entire world to do, and to some degree, not as restricted. One of the benefits of being a solo entrepreneur who often works from home.

Although still in a state of transition, the workplace, whether home or not is one of the most critical post-pandemic conversations on the table. As some employees find productivity to have increased while working from home and do not want to return to the workplace others have a need for the human connection and are ready to get back to some form of normalcy.

The pandemic uprooting of most small businesses has been a challenge financially on small businesses and has fortunately forced higher levels of creativity. The home office has been a primary source of fresh ideas and even new businesses. A lot of these are benefits that most don't won't to lose.

Benefits of the Home Office

1. Get a standard routine. A 30-min workout gets me going

2. Set a FOCUS goal. Completion of something makes the office valid.

3. Design is everything. Be deliberate about your space; it's yours.

4. Natural Light massages the brain. If possible, it's part of the business plan.
