Nothing happens by accident and nothing happens before it's time. This is my life's mantra.  I believe it's the experiences in our lives that represent the truth about who we are and what we believe. They are the truth of our soul.

 

I titled this blog, The Lived Experience, because it represents who I am at my core.  Although accolades and academics are a part of the journey, nothing compares to the people, places and experiences that I have encountered.

 

From serving 22 years in the United States Navy to becoming a grassroots filmmaker, nothing is traditional about my path; all having helped me realize my life's work.
