Historically, education has been the primary tool for women's advancement. Whether on a personal or professional level, studies show that education obtained through various channels is essential for achieving and maintaining effective leadership.

With continued disparities in education and leadership opportunities the value of having diverse educational strategies is critical for acquiring the richest of experiences and meaningful relationships.

Evolving Your Education

As life evolves, so too should our approach to education. Our physical and spiritual growth is most profoundly influenced by those uncontrollable moments. Yet, it is this magic and sense of wonder that comes from the capacity of an evolved education. Here are a few ways to build capacity:

  • Cultivate Time To Travel - Travel is one of the most authentic ways to discover. Effective leaders are consistently looking for ways to empower their creative skillset.

  • Read Challenging Books - Addressing workplace challenges is priority for leadership to develop trust, expand problem-solving skills and hone research resources.

  • Work On A Mindset of Progress Over Perfection - Prioritizing consistent forward movement, learning from mistakes, and fostering a culture of iteration rather than getting stuck waiting for flawless execution builds momentum.

  • Accept Failure As A Lesson Plan - Setbacks aren't endpoints but crucial teaching moments, offering needed insights, building resilience, and revealing paths to growth that success alone often hides. Great leaders turn mistakes into actionable growth points for future achievements.

The evolution of women's education has transformed from historical exclusion to increasing access to still having much work to do. It is necessary to evaluate our personal and professional learning not so much around the traditional academics but our lived experiences. The future of women and girls is tied distinctly to the ability to transform and elevate education.
